This Blog:
I'm starting this blog in order to record my opinions on various topics (usually gaming related) in a sort of online journal. I welcome those who wish to comment on my various takes on topics, but please be respectful of the views of myself and the other commentators. We are just sharing our opinions.
Me :
So who am I? In real life I'm a 25 something year old, Canadian University student, gaming as a hobby to get rid of all that stress from studying and exams. I've found that ever since I've created a steady gaming schedule most of my stress has slowly reduced and I've been able to stand longer periods of study. It seems that it is true, you need to have a good mix of fun and work in order to do well in life. I am a big fan of many Fantasy novel series such as the Wheel of Time, Kingkiller Chronicles, Stormlight Archive and recently the Gentlemen Bandits series. I also watch a few too many police dramas in my spare time (Castle, Mentalist, Major Crimes, NCIS and a few others). In terms of comics I'm DC over Marvel and Japanese Manga over most of the western comic series ( I just like that the stories have a linear plot with a clear beginning and end). I'm also a big fan of several anime series including One Piece and Gundam Wing. Which is where the name 'Heavyscythe' came from. I was 10 when I first exposed to anime and it blew me away. So much so that when I first started gaming online, I combined the names of my two favourite 'Gundams' (Heavyarms + Deathscythe) and created the name 'Heavyscythe' for when I started playing Runescape. And the name kind of stuck around as I continued to play games and sign up for fansites and forums.    In terms of games I mainly play RPGs, strategy and sandbox games. I've played the Final Fantasy series, Dragon Age, Skyrim, Starcraft, Supreme Commander, Minecraft, Terraria, and many more like them. Last few years I've gotten into MMORPGS starting with Guild Wars 2, EVE Online and recently Wildstar. I consider myself to be a casual gamer as I cannot stand to game for several hours continuously.
